Guidance for Fisheries Participants Regarding CARES Act Relief Funding

Section 12005 CARES Act Update

On December 7th, the Department of Fish and Game submitted the final draft of the Section 12005 CARES Act spend plan to the Pacific States Marine Fisheries Commission (PSMC). Once the plan is approved the department will work with PSMC to begin the application period as soon as possible.

The final draft, all previous drafts, public comments and guidance documents can be found on the department's website at https://www.adfg.alaska.gov/index.cfm?adfg=hottopics.main.

On October 22, the Department of Fish and Game posted a helpful article about the difference between the CARES Act funding for Fisheries and Section 12005 monies that will be designated via Pacific States Marine Fisheries Commission.
